All calculations — including your age, weight, height, gender, activity levels, Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), and macronutrient gram scalers — execute in real-time within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. None of your personal measurements are transmitted to or stored on remote web servers.
4. Third-Party Database Requests
When you search for foods outside our core verified database, the application securely requests public ingredient records from open APIs such as Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central. These read-only requests transmit solely the search term (e.g., "banana" or "oats") and contain no personal identifiers, cookies, or location data.
